As I am getting further into this project truck I came accross this label on the door that is close to the factory one. I have searched the internet many times but came up empty handed as to what could of possible been done to the truck. The only things that isnt stock is the powered rear sliding glass which I absolutely hate. It has third gen cab lights but when I replaced them we found the holes for second gen cab lights underneath. The build sheet that Dodge emailed me shows that cab lights were not part of the build. So not sure on that either. It also apppears to have some kind of vehicle immobilzation kit under the kick panel, been trying to find info on it so I can remove it without causing any problems but it has no identifying info on it as well. Hoping someone might have some insight on this.
Vanworks is still apparently in business.... I *think* it's the same company..... they do dodge van conversions these days, sprinters, and transits. Might try contacting them, see if they have anything interesting to say, but, on a near 30 year old conversion..... it is most certainly a shot in the dark.

Post some pictures of the vehicle. Inside and out. I remember seeing some that were heavily modified and others that just had some interior fittings for passengers, such as more comfortable seats.
I've never seen cab lights on a 1/2 ton short bed, regular cab truck before. I think the modifications were either for a mild look or used for towing on something not normally used for towing.
I definitely can say the cab lights was done after the fact just by the wiring alone. I have the headliner out at a upholesty shop getting redone. Taking the time now to redo the cab lights as the screws are rusted and half of them are broke off. When the current lights that are in the photo were removed there was another set of holes underneath. My buddy has spare lights sitting around and we were able to confirm that the holes underneath not being used were for second gen triangular cab lighs as the holes are left to right. The holes being used now are and the lights we took off are third gen cab lights that have holes from front to back. The third gen lights are bigger so it covers the other two holes when installed so putting a new set of third gen lights back on. Will also be drilling out the old screws and putting in stainless steel threaded inserts so that machine screws can be used instead of self tapers. The wheels are American Racing wheels. I spoke with Vanworks yesterday and they did have a tech thats been around for a while. He told me that more than likely the only things that would of been done was just graphics. The wheels could of possibly been them as well since it has it listed on the sticker. As for the power rear sliding glass and immobilizer he said that was definitely not their doing.

That sounds about right. Back in the late 1980's through around 2001 or so, there were a lot of fancy upgrades to make a vehicle look different from all the others. Vehicles treated like that drew a premium price and higher profit. Being a regular cab, short wheel base and, I think I see a 4X4 lever, four wheel drive, that would never sit on a dealers lot around here. You've got a Rara Avis there.
The fact that headlights aren't listed in the factory specifications almost certainly means they were replaced later. The holes for headlights from a different generation confirm this. An unmarked immobilizer is a typical dealer-installed anti-theft device. These were often installed without being reflected in the VIN decoder. Get a factory window sticker using https://carfast.express/en/window_sticker and it will show what actually came from the factory. Anything not listed can safely be considered non-original.
