Default Front trailing arm bracket to axle

The front trailing arm (on passenger side) let go off the axle, see pics. Curious if anyone has had to deal with this - I'm told there are brackets available to repair? I have a good welder available, but just hoping to find an existing, tried & tested, solution. Thank you!!!

Yep. You aren't the first. I think there is a thread around here about just such a topic, it's been a few years ago though.

Appreciate the feedback. I've searched but not found anything - are my "terms" correct, is that a "front trailing arm"? Or is it called something else?

Technically called a control arm. I will say back when I was 16 owning these trucks and living in PA we made our own out of 1/4 steel and a grinder. Just matched the shape the best we could.

I did a triple pass with a 110 Lincoln and it is holding to this day.

Did a bit of searching... Parts are not available. So, either make some new ones, or, get another axle, and swap it out.

Thanks Brother. I think that's what I'm going to have to end up doing. Greatly appreciated - ALL

No idea if they will fit the control arm but there are similar looking replacement mounts available for TJ Jeeps. You'd still have to fab the upper part but you'd have the factory style adjustment capability.

Yeah I don't know how comfortable I'd be trying to weld to the axle tube given the rust. How far to a rust free zone? These housings are a dime a dozen in the West.

In that case, (if you are IN the west....) I would just replace the whole thing, and call it a day.
