new tire opinion
The time has come to replace the rubber on my ram (265/70r17). Looking for an a/t tire that wears well and has good all around traction. I've got cooper discovery a/t's on right now and after 11,000 miles they are shot. Any one got a favorite tire?
For an AT tire I would say the BFGoodrich All Terrain KOs are the best AT tire money can buy. Awesome traction in dirt & snow, good in wet weather, & they perform pretty good in mud (not a swamper by any means though). The BFGs are quiet, the ride awesome, and they handling is very good too. It's very common to get 40,000 to 50,000 miles out of a set - which is amazing for such an agressive tread.

I have the a/t's on my ram and they are in need of changing but still gave me decent traction in the winter so far.

I was looking at the BFGs because my brother and friend had them on their trucks. Then I went and read reviews on the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo (make sure its the revo model) and they had execellent rating and reviews.
The only problem is they are a bit more expensive then the BFGs. I found a place in Willimantic, CT, Al's Tires or something like that, that had the cheapest price.
I have been driving on my Revos all winter in snow, rain, sand, and dry condition.
I love them, aggressive tread, quiet on the road, and they grip well.

Check Tirerack.com they'll give you a pretty good idea of pricing. If you buy them local they may be a bit higher though.
