I have some BFG AT's, and I live in Colorado were we get a lot of snow and ice. I think they are very good in the snow and dirt (dry). They are about average on ice. I haven't been in much mud with them, so I can't speak for that.
I've read that the Mud Terrains are very good in mud and snow, but really aweful on ice, like below average.
mudking xt's have pretty much the same tread pattern as bfg m/ts.. except A LOT cheaper i had 32x12.5 mudkings on my old gmc jimmy for 120 a peice.. nothing held that truck back with those tires
