Keyless entry question!
Does any one know if there is a way to hook you parking lights up to your factory keyless entry? Just curios. I didn't really want to get an alarm, but I like the visual conformation with the parking lights flashing. The only thing I could find that would be close was an add-on alarm that hooks up to your factory keless system. If any one has any input let me know.[&:]

RE: Keyless entry question!
The instructions with my keyless entry units state that there is an optional headlamp/parking lamp kit available and the install instructions come with the kit. It does not give the part number for the kit though. I would say call the dealer and ask for the part number and price.
Good news is there is an optional kit. Bad news may be that it costs $100 bucks for it...just kidding...I have no idea how much it would be.
oh yeah...these instructions are from the Mopar factory keyless entry kits not aftermarket.

Yeah there are some cheap alarms out there, but I was wanting to keep the factory key fob. Plus the kit I mentioned is only about $50. I was just wondering if any one knew a secrect to hooking the lights up so I didn't have to shell out the $$. Thanks anyway guys!

RE: Keyless entry question!
Has anyone ever thought about finding the wire that causes the horn to honk with the panic & locking feature. From there splice a line from your parking light + to that + your lights should flash with the horn only in panic and unlock modes. If you pick the wrong one out of the three wires (Horn +, Panic +, Horn -) the lights will flash whenever you honk the horn. I used to have a car that flashed the brights when you honked the horn, some one might want to do that. Let me check my schematics and get a wiring diagram up here. But you can do it just like you can interface, multiple alarm functions by wiring them into the door switches, I havent done a remote start yet on my truck, but I did add a home-made kill switch that won't allow power constant to reach the ignition switch with the alarm armed. To be honest though this stuff all requires a lot of splicing and putting home depot parts in your car. Buying a kit would be better in most circumstances but for those who take a hobby in their trucks this is kinda fun.
