turn signals both sides blinking real fast....
Don't quote me on this, but it may be a short in the electrical flow. You were right in checkin' the bulbs, and if they're good, I would try and get the wires checked for any decay and corrosion.
yah id say flasher too its a 97 so you should have 2 of em 1 on the front of the fusepanel and one on the back front one is for turn sigs back one is for hazards. if you wanna test it out turn your hazards on, if they flash normal then take the hazard flasher and swich it with the sig one and if it flashes normal then its deffanatly the flasher
check your grounds too..if a flasher isnt grounded correctly or well... the relay seleniod inside them acts speractic like your describing...more then likley just a bad blinker relay (flasher) but if you swap one out for a new one and still acts up check out your grounds
As the flasher gets older and weaker lights will blink faster. Easy sign that it's time to replace it. Put a trailer on it and watch how fast it goes.....
It could be that you already have a heavy duty flasher in it for towing purposes. As you add more lights the flashing slows that is why your heavy flashers blink faster.
