Default 1998 inside cab water leak

I am at my witts end. I have a water leak in my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. This is a 2 wheel drive truck and I have had a water leak on the passenger side around the floor near the door and kick panel. I took the kick panel and door sill plate off and noticed the water seems to be coming in around the area behind the kick panel. But I can not find out where the water is coming from. PLEASE HELP. I am tired of this and want to stop it now. Any ideas would be appreciated.

No it is not a heater core leak. I have already had that replaced, but not for that reason. It is a rain water leak. Thnaks for the info though. I had found that this is a somewhat common problem but what I had found out about the fix didnt help me.

You can test for leaks by having someone spray the truck with water in that area of the cab while you sit inside and look for a leak. Or better yet, run it through the car wash. Have someone else drive while you look for it.

It definitely sounds like a door seal or a windshield seal. Either that or the drain for your heater core is plugged.

Somebody else was having this problem, as far as I remember they never really found it. Or they didn;t tell us if they did.

read below. This is the problem that I am having. It is a TSB from Dodge. I checked my truck and it has already had this done to it.

I had the same problem on a 2000 BE (Quad Cab). It was the third brake light lamp. Water was coming in around it, down the head liner and to the floor. Reseal the stop lamp and the water stopped.
