RE: door panels off?
They are held in place with plastic X-Mas style push on clips. You're going to tear them up no matter what happens. I Googled the clips a while back and found a source where I can buy a box if replacement clips for less that buying a small package of clips from someplace such as O'Reilly Auto Parts or Autozone. I will try to post the link tonight, but believe me, it's the best way to go.

those clips are crapy and cant be reused like vw said...if you reused them the fit wont be tight and the door panel will ratlle everytime you hit a bumb...anoying
6X9's? 2way? 3way? are they gonna be amped? components? what are you lookin for as sound wise
alpine, infinity, pioneer, jl, ebay some 6X9's and browse through... it really depends on what you want out of the sound system..3ways will be crisp and clear 2ways will still be clear but allow some mid range to come through (more then a 3 way) a "1way" or basic speaker will be mostly for midrange .. not too great in with the higher freq's

i honestly dont know what 2way and 3way and such mean..... i just want a higher quality, and louder, speakers than the stock ones.
im only gettin a headunit and the speakers, if thats what you mean by 'amped', im not gettin an amp.
shott- what do you mean by '2ways will still be clear but allow some mid range to come through'?

ok.. a 3 way speaker..9 times out of 10 will be a 6X9 is (also known as a compound driving speaker... as per official literature) a 6X9 speaker with 2 other small speakers or tweeters mounted on it... gives a nice crisp sound... normall used with components (external crossovers) and sometimes have deditcated wires per driver (best way to describe what a driver is .. each driver is a "speaker")
every "way" you have on a speaker denotes how many speakers are actually on THAT speaker
a 2 way menas its 2 speakers in one... the larger 6X9 driver and a smaller 1" or 1/2" tweeter driver in the center...
3 way would mean 1 larger 6X9 driver usually a 1" tweeter driver and a super tiny metal dome trashcan lid sounding 1/4" tweeter driver...
does this make any sense?
for a normal run of the mill stereo for a DD that wont be seeing any SQ shows or contests .. a single 6X9 or a 2way 6X9 would be great for your rig.. ive installed 8 4way 6X9's 10 2 way 5" and 4 1" silk dome tweets and 2 1/4" metal dome tweets in a soley designed SQ van before... with a combined 5000 watts to run just these highs and mids... it was stupid but they paid me and they won lol
somepics of 2way and 3way... ive seen 4 and 5 way speakers... but when you get that technical with 6X9's you should be in external eq's and sound computers to manage the different freq's hertz that should be sent to whatever driver should be handling... advanced SQ stuff
notice how each speaker has something jammed on the middle of it? the more crap you got in the middle usually means it has more "way" like 3 or 4 way..
