Bad tread ware problem
I was looking at my tires today cuz it was finally a nice day and noticed a bad problem. On my front right tire. The ware is irregular. I have a/t tires that have four rows of tread. On the inside row only the tread is about a 1/4 inch more worn that the other 3 rows on the same tire. so obviously something is wrong there. now since it is on the inside row i would assume the top of the tire is slightly more to the inside of the wheel well than the bottom. Sorry no pics due to i am in school while writing this post but i will make sure to have some up by tomorrow. any ideas from the explanation though?
yuou could have hit a curb and knocked it out of alignment, and it wears differently. happend to a friend of mine, now he has 3 great super swampers and 1 bald one.
even a big pothole could knock it out of alignment enough to do that.

well i dont hit curbs so that isnt it lol, how can i go about checking the bearings? I'm taking it into a shop that comes HIGHLY recommended and has done excellent work on my old truck but im just trying to get an idea of what i can expect.
balljoints/ steering arm ends (tie rod ends) pretty much any part of the steering system that is jointed could cause anythign to be out of wack.... i cant keep an alignment on my truck to save my life... i get it alighned and 3 days later its pulling to the left again... hard too.... i think my balljoints and steering ends are bad....
would a REALLY bad track bar cause this too?

shott8283...have you tried cross rotating your tires?
as for hanson, just get the alignment checked 1st. that will point out any problems with potentially bad ball joints or bearings (if the technician is good) or definitely a bad tie rod end. but it sounds like an alignment problem. when was the last time you had it aligned?

Hmm, yeah maybe the ball joints...
If the inner two threads were worn, i would say air pressure in the tire is too high... (Outer two threads = low air pressure)
Thats kinda odd =/

I havent had it aligned since i bought it because i bought it about 10,000 miles ago and the previous owner just had it done when he put the brand new tires and brakes on right before i bought it from him. As for the tire pressure issue i check it once a week and its always at the same and when the pressure is low i thought both the inside and outside would wear fast and if it was over inflated the middle would wear fast
