Default removing fender

well, as the title states, i need to remove the passenger side fender. i undid all the bolts i could see that attached it to the rest of the truck, but i couldn't get it off for the life of me. is this harder than i think it is? or is there some trick to it?

btw, i have a '99 1500 QC, Laramie SLT.

thanks in advance.

Default RE: removing fender

Straight from the service manual.........

(9) Remove bolts attaching front fender to cowl reinforcement

(10) Remove bolts attaching front fender to radiator closure panel.

(11) Remove bolts attaching bottom of front fender to rocker panel lower flange

(12) Open right door.

13) Remove bolt attaching front fender to hinge pillar mounting bracket

14) Remove bolts attaching top of fender to radiator closure panel

15) Separate right front fender from vehicle.
----------------------------------------------------

It also says to remove the front bumper, but I'm not sure if that's necessary. Check out this thread for your own copy of the manual: https://dodgeforum.com/m_340929/tm.htm

I think we need to rename the sticky for the manaul from Merry Christmas, to DOWNLOAD THIS!

Usefull tool, especially when you have a computer in the garage you can load it on and just go back and forth to it instead of trying to print out all 5000000 pages of it.

No it doesnt. I took the right off last weekend to make the Crank Sensor Mod kinda eaiser. You also have to remove th top black bumper pad, antenna, and headlight.

since you are taking the fenders off, now is a good time to clean the motor and do the crank sensor mod

Edit: also, put tape in the door jam to prevent scratching

Purpl hasn't been around for a while. He sold his truck. But, I think he slotted the mounting tabs, to give a few degrees of adjustability on the crank sensor.
