I have it and I love it. The FIPK is more efficient in drawing in cooler air from the outside enviroment. Cold air being burned in the combustion chamber results in more power, along with better fuel economy. Anything cool that is jammed into the chamber is more effecient for that matter. As long as Ive been on here, I havn't heard one complaint from anyone using the FIPK, only good things!

Also, the FIPK is what I like to call a complimenting mod. Meaning it really helps other mods work better, ie: 50/52MM TB, modded intake, and exhaust systems all are complimented by the FIPK. Not implying that you won't feel anything difference in the butt-dyno alone, but when you start puting other mods on youll notice an improvement over all.

I installed one about a month ago and OOOOOOOOO MAN! such a great intake, I could tell a fairly big difference in the power gain and I got 3 more miles to the gallon than I did when I had that ram air junk. The sound is awesome too, when i'm driving at high rpm's you can hear the thing sucking big time.

What kind of sound is it? does it get annoying over time? Also, where did you guys buy yours at and how much do they go for? And when you install this, it replaces the whole stock air filter and the long piece that says like vortec or magnum on it going to the side of the truck right? How much do new air filters for the FIPK cost?

Another thing, I've seen K&N cold air intake listed on some people's sigs, can you either have one or the other because isn't the FIPK an intake mod also, or can you have more than 1?

K&N cold ait intake and FIPK are the same thing, you can't have more then one intake. Yes it replaces the whole air cleamer. You never have to replace the filter,. they last a damn long time and they're cleanable.

If somebodys sig says modded intake they're probably talking about their intake manifold.

the noise is just the intake sucking the air in, I love the noise and its really faint you have to listen for it but it's noticeable. You will never have to replace the filter or clean it. The FIPK replaces everything in the stock intake, all you do is pull it out the side of the engine compartment and it just leaves that hole open. I boughtt my FIPK through www.4wheelparts.com for $335 but I have seen them cheaper elsewhere. They are all right around $300. The only reason I bought mine through 4wheel parts for the extra little bit is because i had a $150 dollar gift card. Check out www.central4wd.com or www.summitracing.com I believe they are cheaper there. Mine came with instructions to install it but if yours doesnt you can find instructions on K&N's website. Anymore questions?
