The stock chrome rims (on your current truck) are the same size as the stock steel wheels with chrome rings (from your new truck)

BTW, I have 285s on my stock chrome rims

I must have been mislead by the door stickers.

The '96 says 16x6.5 and the '01 says 16x7.5.

Oh well, I guess I'll swap 'em then!

I may be mistaken. I'm just not aware of any 7.5" wide rims that came from the factory.

Either way, you won't have any problems fitting the 265s to your Chrome rims, as you can go with 285/75s on the stock rims.
