ok so i drove about 3 hours yesterday... got home fine and dandy no problems.. went out to shoot some fireworks... no problems...
woke up this morning got in the truck to go to work and no problems...
get about five blocks away look down at my gauges and realize that a light is still on. it's the second row farthest on the left.
up until now the truck has been completely trouble free.
i can't find the symbol anywhere for what it means. the only thing i can think of is the CEL (check engine light) but that seems like a really out of the way place to put it.
if anyone knows what the symbol is please let me know i'd greatly appreciate it.
oh and yes i checked steve's christmas present.
there are no words just a damn symbol.....

You should be able to do the key trick to get the code to come up on your odometer. Then, look it up on this forum in the merry x-mas thread (I think they are in the manual) or by doing a search for codes (several people have posted the entire list of codes). If I remember it correctly, just turn the key on-off-on-off-on (not starting the engine obviously). Code should scroll across the odometer.

I believe that is the same technique for retreaving computer codes as was with my '90 dodge shadow when I owned that for 12 yrs. And yes, Autozone does have free diagnostic testing on vehicles. Beats spending money at the dealership, its probably just an O2 sensor code. My CEL has been going on and off here and there because of the O2 sensor ( bank 2 I believe autozone said).
I should replace that one of these days. I should have had the dealership replace them for me when they were replacing mt cat under the new warrenty. But I didnt feel like paying them an arm and a leg for 15 minutes of work.
