Truck dies and starts back up on its own? HELP!!!!!
it has a remote keyless entry(that i have not used in 4 years), but it didnt do anything special like start my truck for me. It just unlocked the doors. I have looked under the panel of my truck and say no wires that were in bad shape or wire nutted together.
heck at this point i am willing to try anything ....wires,plugs,sensors.....................voodo spell with a dead chicken and lambs blood..............anything!!

Mine was doing the very same thing. The first thing I did was replace the coil just like you did. I hooked up a fuel pressure guage and it read normal...MOST of the time. I rigged it up so I could drive around and monitor the fuel pressure. Finally it acted up with the guage hooked up and my fuel pressure was all over the place. The fuel pressure regulator ended up being the culprit. Unfortunately the only way to replace that is to replace the entire fuel pump module assy which is located in the fuel tank. I got a Carter brand pump from NAPA ($300.00) and it is noticeably better than OEM. The pick-up screen is much bigger and better quality than stock.

Just found this: http://www.wellsmfgcorp.com/counterp...erpoint4_2.pdf
At the bottom center of page 3 is a description of your very problem.
Just a thought.

Some years back, I got a call from my boss. He was thinking about buying a Dakota. He wanted to know if Dodges had governors on them. Of course, I wanted to know why. He said that about the time he got this truck up past 100 it started sputtering and trying to cut out on him ... until he brought it back under 100. Took it back up ... same thing. Having not had my Ram past 95, I had no answer for him but it did make me think.
I doubt if you would see any other problems if all you've got is intermittent noise on the signal that the computer sees as data (Hey, this fool's trying to do 150! Let's shut him down!). It might not be the sensor at all but the connection to it. If you've got access to an oscilloscope, you can look at the output of the sensor (wheels off the ground, of course) and look for a nice smooth signal.
