What type of tranny do I have?

What type of tranny do I have?
The code on all the body tags is DGB ... I looked in my Service Manual (and the on-line one posted here) and that code is not listed. The pan is big and square (like the picture for the type 46) but the under-hood sticker says "DGB - STD DUTY 4SPD AUTO TRANS". I would take that to mean Type 42. I have a tough time believing that Dodge would mate a Type 42 behind a 360 on a 4x4. This thing has been ridden HARD (for about 85K) and put up wet ... and survived. I mean ZERO maintenance. I think I checked the fluid once around 20k. It did come from the factory with an external cooler but I can't believe that tiny thing made THAT much difference. I've heard that Dodge trannys were junk but that's not been my experience.
So do I have a Type 42 and have been lucky or do I have a Type 46 ... and have been lucky?

Auto Trans code breaks down like this:
4 = 4 forward speeds
6 = strength of trans. (1-9, higher number, stronger trans.)
R = Rear wheel drive
H=Hydraulic controlled, E = Electronic controlled shift

RE: What type of tranny do I have?
Ok ... based on what I'm seeing ... I'm going to assume I've got a 46RE. Even though the order code DGB (which appears on two different tags on my truck) doesn't cross to any known tranny type ... wierd. Maybe it's a holdover from `97? It was manufactured in January `98 so it's pretty late for that. I tried looking at the numbers on the tranny itself but the exhaust pipe and frame are in PERFECT position to keep me from getting a good look.
I will NOT hesitate to pull this thing out if I have to ...
Thanks guys.

RE: What type of tranny do I have?
The 42 was only used for the v6 Rams You have a 46RE.
