Default do hoodscoops.

i dont plan on getting any, but do hoodscoops help to provide more airflow and cooling to the engine compartment. or are they just for the visual aspect with no openings in the hood?

Either ... depends on how you install it. You can make them functional or just for decoration.

thanks. the only reason i wont be doing it, is because hoodscoops and pushbars aren't exactly matching..

its like putting a dress on a bikerchick.

90% of the ones you see are fake stuck on ones. Even some that are molded into hoods are fake. Like on Mustangs [:'(]

Check out these performance hoods from Keystone.

They feature functional Ram Air style hood. Don't have one but have seen it before. looks pretty cool.

Another way, if all that you want to do is extract the hot air out, is to put in hood loovers/vents. Like the ones on 300z's. i had them on my cheeroke and they would keep the engine cool on the trails. Just an idea.
