Default question about steering axel stop bolts

I recently purchased a set of 285/75/16 GoodYear Wrangler Silent Armor
( http://www.fountaintire.com/tires/fe...tml?search=yes )

previously I had 265s on. I had to adjust the steering axel bolts to adjust for the wider tires, however, the locknut on these old bolts are ceased, and no matter how much I've tried, I cannot uncease them..

my question, since the partsstores couldnt answer (one admitted he's never had the question asked in the 5 years he's worked there) is whether those bolts, are specifially dodge or can I use everyday bolts from any hardware store, and just have the locking nut on there as well.. I'd appreciate insight into this as I'd hate to be driving home and have them work their way out, even if its nearly implausible.

they are 9/16" heads on both the bolt and locking nut.. i hav't tried taking them out entirely yet, i'd rather know first.

thanks in advance for any information provided

when i put my new 285s on, the inside of the tires were rubbing against the frame, adjusting those bolts, prevents the tires from rubbing., the bolts were originally set for tight radius and 265s.

Don't you just hate that your sitting all comfortable in front of the computer and someone makes you just have to go crawl under the truck and look. Had no idea but there the bolt was.

Sinister your trucks looking sweet with the rockers painted. I ended up pulling off the rubber side molding and painting the lower bumper cover black also.
