I am curious where you found info that said cutting the runners shorter was better for low end tq?

I am a ford guy, but, looking to switch fields, and, to my understanding, longer, rectangular runners offer more low end tq then shorter runners. Short runners=high rpm, long runners=low rpm.

Not trying to start anything, maybe the dodge motors are differant? Either way, educate me.

I am trying to find all the performance info I can on the magnum motors, I think in the next week or 2, I will have the next victim in my driveway
I am not going to re-read the whole thread to see where someone said more low-end could be gained from cutting the runners down. This will help it to breath better at higher rpm's. The big deal with modifying Magnum keg manifolds is to find that balance between the least amount of low-end lost and the most amount of higher rpm power. If you wanted info on Magnum performance you are in the right place, there is enough info here to keep busy for months.

nice... should be running by tomorrow right?
Nope. Still waiting for my fuel pump and I have to order my flex fan. I washed and rinsed out the fuel tank. There was still some minor debris in there.

Hey, I love the color and have seen a few in the area. I prefer to be different. I hate white, black, and red on vehicles I own.

cut runners will allow the motor to breath better in the upper rpms. there may be minimal low end torque loss depending on how much you cut off...

Great news. I recieved my Fastman Throttle Body and a fuel pump/sending unit yesterday. I gave the TB a once over and am VERY impressed at the workmanship. Once I give the truck a thorough test run, I am going to write a letter to Dan. Fantastic turnaround if you send in a core. Here are some pics of the TB out of the box and after I installed it:

Here is the fuel pump. One problem, and that is my connector is set up with two rows @ 6 pins (4 pins used), while the new unit has one row of four pins. I am told there is an adapter out there. Does anyone have leads where I can get an adapter? I need one el pronto!

Also, I have most everything buttoned up under the hood. Can anyone tell if I have the throttle cable run correctly? I don't have the speed contol conencted and can't remember how it gets routed. If anyone can snap a picture under his hood, I would greatly appreciate it. I also know that I have one more vacuum pipe to run, and can't remember where it gets routed. I haev a picture of one of the other connections in my hand. After that, I am about ready to fire up the engine.

Here's a quick snap shot of under my hood. Hope it helps.

I figured out where some of the stuff went today. Your picture helped clarify that. Can you can a shot from the driver's side? I need to know the proper location of that piece that the plastic tube, coming from the front of the TB, is located. It has two other hoses coming from it. I just got done with the PITA of routing the spark plus wires and bolting the exhaust headers in place. Got the fuel tank put in as well. I just need an adapter for the pump and I am good to go!
