no.. there MIGHT be a little brown residue on the sides and bottom from the vavle cover breather tube.. but should never be puddling black or excessive wetness.. search for plenum and theres loads of info on here about them going bad and how to fix it.!

yea thats bad.. bad plenum gasket.. get the hughesengins.com plenum fix.. its the best and its a one time fix.. instead of getting an oem type gasket.. also uses a thicker plate to help seal the gasket better instead of the crapy oem style stamped plate!

ive already got it in my shopping cart. Is hughes the best place to get it from.. for price and performance?

youve replied to some of my questions about getting off the line. Do you think thats my problem?

listen you guys have been helping me a lot... especially you and burning rom. I really appreciate it. Ive learned more about my truck, and about mechanics in general over the past 2 months than i have in my whole life. Even when i ask stupid questions or questions that are already in the forum. THANK YOU

I'll try to help. The plenum may not be your only problem but with it being bad it certainly will cause you to lose performance. There is another company called APS that makes the plenum fix also. I *think* it is pretty much the same as the Hughes fix, people on hear have used both and I have never heard anything bad about either of them. Also I don't know what your current exhaust set-up is but with the mods you have a dual exhaust will only cost you torque. What size tubing are you running?

good point silver.. id suggest/recomend is to get that plenum in tip top shape.. when you ahve to TB off,, give her one hell of a cleaning with carb/choke/tb cleaner.. (again if you already done it recently) along with removing the 3 sensors off the tb and cleaning those seperatly too!!! after that plenum is fixed...next id suggest a hell of a tune up..(especailly if its close..or coming close to time to do it/mileage to do it) plugs/wires/cap/rotor oil etc etc etc..and then if your still unhappy with off the line,, then id start looking at your mods.. your mods stated in your siggy make it sound like that motor should be making good hp and tq.. like silver said above.. what diameter is your exhaust and how many pipes? also whats your rear gears/tire size your running? ALSO do you have the death flash? search this term death flash ... theres ways to find out.. even if you dont have death flash.. a hypertech would really compliment those mods.. better yet, a b&g flash ... little more costly.. but from what i hear WELL worth it.. again.. search these terms to learn more.. especially deathflash, hypertech, b&g flash etc etc etc.. id also suggest to run a 180 stat.. always helps.. and has been known to give a WEEEE bit more umfff... it did for me.. doesnt for some.. its like a hit or miss.. but what it is garunteed to do is run that motor a bit cooler and a cooler motor is a happy motor..but not to cold..then it gets sick and starts to puke all over you and itself.. and no one wants puke on them [&:]

within the last week ive cleaned my Tb spotles, removed my TB spacer and jet chip, replaced my distributor cap and rotor, plugs and wires, coil, pcv valve, put some restore in (by the way, when you put restore in, is the restore supposed to take place of a some of the oil? otherwise youre overfilling the oil)
My gear size is 3.55 and my tires are 265/75/r16
My exhaust has ceramic plated gibson into one collector, Highflo magnaflow cat then splits off into dual flowmasters, at 2.5"
