had the same problem, a new vss/rwss/abss whichever they want to call it, took care ofthe problem. Its inthe rear differential and should be about $40.
Yea, seems to be a common problem.
Remember what FingerBang said, the sensor on the rear differential, not the one on the transmission (sometimes people get confused about this).

hey, just curious if this would apply to my '01 S10 Blazer. I have the same problem, but intermittent. Was told the "brake computer" (apparently it has it's own) and is quite expensive. What are you all talking about as far as a part?
The Vehicle Speed Sensor that is attached to the rearend. There is also one on the tranny, but the rearend one is the one that causes the abs and brake light to come on when it goes bad......
depending on the year you can get the codes by turning the key on-off-on-off-on they will ither be the c/e light flashing (97 and older) or a number on the odometer (99.5 and newer) if your like me and have a 98 your outa luck...they musta figured everyone in this year was rich and could buy the code readers lol
