ok im gonna chime in on my experiance, i was very unhappy with the setup, i bought a 14x3 filer assembly btw, i'll just go ahead and list the thinks i didn't like about it..

-it whistled, very annoying.,
-i lost low end tq, but gained high end power, i prefer low end tq.,
-on cold starts, it made my truck idle very horrible, sounded like it was gonna stall on warm up,.
-and it wasn't as smooth as the stock box was while accelerating.

so in closing i put my stock box back on and am very happy.

Good feedback. I like when we can talk about a mod from both sides. Not everyone's going to like it. Some don't care for the extra sound you hear, and I understand that. Every passenger I have had in the truck since doing that mod has asked what that sucking sound it. Some like, some don't. I don't mind it.

I personally didn't feel like I lost any low end. In fact, I felt like the low end throttle response improved. But, my truck is also not stock. The mods I have might make that feel differnent to me then it does on a stock truck.

I've never experienced any cold start idle problems either, so I might suspect you had a dirty IAC or something instead.

But again, its not for everyone. Every mod has its up sides and down sides. Just depends on what your priorities are as to whether you are willing to live with the downsides to get the upsides.

Very well put, the only mod i have is i gutted my cat, maybe that had something to do with the cold start idle i have no idea, as for the low end tq, again maybe the combo of the gutted cat, and free flowing intake kinda canceled each other out, it did however scream at the higher rpm's it was great on the highway,

Worked great for me all the way around.
I may purchase the hood silencer in the future to see if it'll tone down the noise at cold start.

You mean that sucking noise that sounds like a vacuum line got ripped out for like a minute after you start it? I kinda like it...

Here's a fix for that sucking sound if you don't like it:

Hey guys, sorry I had to do this, but I ran across the Mr. Gasket 1480 Air cleaner for a good price.

http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Gasket-1480...181&sr=8-3

Iordered atextbook for school that also had free shippingm and had it shipped to my grandmother in Deleware so there was no tax. So I did only pay $7.87. I really wanted the edelbrock, but for 8 dollars, if i don't like it im not out much at all. Now I just need a good deal on a breather!

- Plus I heard the 2" has a louder sucking sound which will drive my friend crazy since he is facinated with his serpentine belt whine. (I guess he thinks it sounds like he has something under the hood of his 01 2500 5.9)

I GOT THE 4th, THERE IS ONLY 3 LEFT!
