Default RE: 1994 1500 WheelBearings

It takes me 25 minutes per side to remove wheel, brakes, all the cotter pins/nuts, bearings, washers, and top ball joint...

I just can't get the #$(#%@ bottom ball joints out. I've hammered on one side for hours, changed setups, moved setups, tried bigger hammer, tried bigger wrench, had 2 people pull... ended up stretching one of the ball joint press's threads.

Sprayed it with some lube last night and left it alone. Any help on that?

Oh, I got the truck running and staying on, it was a problem with the throttle cable. Now all I gotta do is the powersteering pump and it should be road worthy!

Took 10 minutes to remove the lowerball joints this morning. Instead of following the directions from pavementsucks.com and trying to press UP all night, I actually looked at the ball joints and their construction. They are pressed IN from the bottom and pressed OUT from the top. [shakes head] One day I'll learn...

Anyways I got the top ones pressed back in and the bottoms are started but I gotta get ready to go to work so I'll have to do it tomorrow morning.

Passenger side ball joints, wheel bearings, rotor, brake pads, all in and doing well.
Driver side ball joints, wheel bearings, rotor, all went on nicely until I hit a snag. The driver side caliper is seized up so off comes both and on with the new tomorrow!

After that, the PS pump is the last thing I need to do before it's road ready!

Roger, will do even though it's been idling fine lately since I messed with the throttle cable and seafoam'd that beotch!

I just did up an excel spreadsheet and EVERYTHING I've done in parts, fuel, and tolls alone is $572.80. This does not include the 40 bucks I'ma blow on new reman'd calipers tomorrow.

He got an estimate of 1800 bucks at a local shop....

I know I'm going to charge something for all this dayum work on his dodge... not sure how much yet though.

200 bucks sounded good to me, it woulda cost him 3x's the amount it did to get HALF the stuff I did for his truck...

I'ma see what some other people say, so 100 from you it is! See if anyone on here or other forums got something to say...
