Need info on cutting intake runners.
OK, here is what you all asked for. I took in a load of scrap metal this morning. The weight in was 8,960lbs, and the weight out was 7,560lbs. Both include the driver (and small passenger) in the vehicle. So, I turned in 1,400lbs of scrap steel. According to my driver's door sticker, the gross vehicle weight of my truck is 3,800lbs, which leaves about 3,700lbs as the weight of my trailer. I'm thinking the trailer weighs about 3,500lbs as I have about 200lbs of misc old car parts and tires in the cargo bed.
For the curious, I had an old washing machine that was chock full of nuts, bolts, screws, and bits of small steel. There is the remains of an old VW Beetle with its chassis, some Karmann Ghia sheet metal, and the rear clip from an old VW Fastback. The truck pulled great, as usual.
