Default what are your anti-thief security tricks?

What security tricks have you come up with or observed other 2nd Gen Ram owners using?

Automatic Shutdown Relay removal when parking for long spells ?

Jimmyjammer type plates behind door cylinders?

Hidden kill switches?

Opinions on best steering wheel lockbars?

Etching VIN or owners names in hidden spots?

Is a custom or unusual looking
rear or front bumper
worth its $ cost
just to help Police id the vehicle on the road after a theft?

Hiding a GPS enabled cell phone somewhere hooked up to vehicle power as an alternative to a LowJack subscription?

all thoughts, suggestion, ideas, stories of past thefts welcome.....

I lock the doors and keep full-coverage insurance on it.

If somebody wants it bad enough they're going to take it.

Muddy, there's logic in that. That's the best way to park a convertible (car) I think, because it's so easy to rip/cut the top and reach in.

Hank, you seem to have the most ideas, here!I'm curious about the shutdown relay thing.

The local P.D. herehas adecal you can get that allows them to stop your vehicle late at night, to see if it's stolen. OK, if you don't go out late much. I don't have one, but it's an idea. Obviously not for everyone.

I think it would be cool to have a camera that would take pictures/video inside and out of the truck whenever the alarm sensed something. Could help i.d. a thief, or parking lot fender bender. I don't know how to actually do it.

You may think I'm crazy but whenever I get out of my truck I make it a habit to point my key at the truck like it's an anti theft device and make a really loud chirp/squawk sound. I do that a couple times like an anti theft device would and it must be working because I havn't had anything ripped off yet.
