All I ever here about is how strict the laws are in east coast states and Flordia and California..Indiana's weather sucks ***** and all and the 70 degrees one day and 30 degrees the next is definately not my idea of a nice climate to live in but god damn, Ive never been hassled nor have I heard of any one been hassled for any type of customization on a vehicle. I dont have a muffler on ethier one of my pipes and I turn my system up as load as I can. I have 20% tint I also just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico YAY MIDWEST!

That is amusing. I don't know about where you are but that wouldn't work in California. Actually here they take the tinting regulation so far as to be able to fine any shop that puts tint on the front side windows. Back and back side windows can be as dark as you want. Do they ticket everyone? no. But it does give any officer an excuse to pull you over anytime they wish. If you are young you are a target to begin with. Knowing this you have to also understand that anything you do that attracts further attention is going to sometimes get you negative attention. Since you know this up front all you should do is smile take the ticket, thank the officer and pay the fine.Is the officer being petty? possibly. Does it matter? no. Not to debate the fairness in this just stating facts as they are.

Where I'm at the local cop's ain't that bad ,but just like your situation.
U go one town over and they are total ******.
I got pulled over for having one licence plate out.
It was 3:00 am He probably figured he would hassle me.
And before anyone asked, no I was not hot roddin it.
I feel your pain chief .
If it was me I would do the fender flares and leave the tint alone.
As for the front plate in Ohio u have to have one too.

I know it sounds stupid, but officers are trained to always assume the worst so they don't get caught off-guard. How do you know that someone hasn't called in on an armed robbery with a description matching your vehicle? Dark tint and strange movements could cause you to get hurt.

You think you got it bad, hah! I got a 99 2500 4x4 quad cab long bed, bone stock except for a flowmaster and a chip. On my way to work, get pulled over. "I don't know how many times I have to tell you truck guys this. When you lift em, you gotta put mudfalps on em" Uhh officer it's not lifted. "Don't get smart with me son!" n wrote me a ticket. I won the case cause i proved that it was factory height and it didn't come from the factory with mudflaps. My Jeep, thats another story. I've got a 91 Cherokee on F-250 axles and 37's.it was deemed "unsafe for street use" and even though its registered and passes smog, if i'm caught drivin it in the city of Pleasanton they can tow it. But its Pleasanton, if you don't got a BMW or Mercedes, a wife, 2.5 kids a dog and 3 girlfriends, your different than everybody else and you will get pulled over more. proven fact
