Default extra money guess its 408 time

well changed out my oil pump today for a high volume. never got below 20psi before but didnt like it sitting that low....well down there i notice my rod bearing are about shot....i can move the rod caps in all directions and they are torqued to spec. So i figured the $2500 i had saved for a aps trans should prolly go into the motor build first cause the trans has less than 20k on it. my question is where to buy. Hughs wants way to much money i dont need a full forged kit i am gonna spray it after i get the trans build but only when i am out at mud drags n such.

I know i am going to spend more than $2500 i am just looking for the bottom end already have aluminum edelbrock heads and all other parts aside from inectors.....speaking of which what size injectors should i do and what about pcm will my mopar ecu run a 408

Check out Matty675's 408 build thread. Might wanna PM him, and get some ideas on cost, and complications. Also, parts sources.....

speaking of Matty, I bet he would release that monster of his (if he still has it) for double what you got ($2500), and you'd have a beast that is built properly..

Go for the M1. You won't notice the low end loss due to it being a single plane intake, as you will MORE than make up for that with the additional cubes.

Make sure your heads can take the valve lift with the cam, and 1.7 rockers.....

valve springs say they are rated for .550 lift so i think the cam is .520 lift so i will be close....i know there is a way to measure lift with 1.7s but i dont know the exact way to calculate. if not i can just change out the valve springs
