I would be all over the Gladiator, especially if it came with canvas slide-back roof they had in the original concept.

I don't know what kind of "Lifestyle" they are targeting, but my lifestyle includes 2 track wooded paths in the Fall. Maybe they figure with the tail gate only 4" off the ground I won't have to work so hard to load the deer carcass into the bed?
