Awesome rock rails. I've been thinking about getting a set custom made and welded on. I was thinking of using a 2x4 steel tube right under the rockers, using more 2x4 tubing to attach to the frame and using 2" .125 tube for the rail itself and to have structure added like your rails.

My issue is that I don't weld, which is also why I haven't gotten my front and rear bumpers that I've been wanting done since day one with the truck. That and the lack of funds from a year of unemployment. I'm just starting to catch up and able to put money in the truck again.

Might be a bit overkill.
These things are STRONG and don't have the weight of all that 2X4.
We have had 4 people standing on them and still no flex.
I will get a pic of how they are mounted.

The front bumper had been in an accident before I got the truck and was held together with zip ties and silicone.
Wanted something that would stand up better if it was ever hit again.
Started with some 1 1/2" tube to get the shape.

And then just plated in between.
Its sprayed with Raptor bed liner which I also did my lower foot of body in. Trucks, not mine.
Goes on thick and should stand up to anything parking lots can throw at it.

The lights in the bumper are snow plow lights and have a high and low.
Stock 50W bulbs in the low and they come on with the parking lights.
The highs have SilverStars and really light up the road along with the X-Tremes in the headlights.

That bumper looks great! Do you have any schematics/measurements for it?

It was just free form, no plans.
The lower section would look better if it was not so low but the bottom of the rad is down that low and I wanted to cover it.

Man, I have got some serious truck envy. Nice rock rails and bumper.

I hope that one of these days I can have a good bumper again.

Thanks Cowboy.
I'm working on the rear one now, might as well have a matched set.
