Default New Motorcycle Owner!

Well I finally worked out a deal on my first motorcycle!

Picked up a brand new 2009 Honda VTX1300C

I will be selling my body lift for my truck (PA new in box) so keep an eye out in the for sale section. I wont be doing much more work on the Dakota :-(

Just in time for better weather! congratulations. I will have one some day, but the wife is a chicken and the little one is too little so it would just be me enjoying it.

My wife knows better than to ask me to get rid of my bikes. She'd be out the door first.

Just be carefull. I had a bike for a week one time. The worst part wasn't that I crashed my new bike it was the phone call to my wife after words. It made me think how I have a wife and kids that would miss me if something were to happen.

Bikes are not dangerous, its the other drivers that do not see you that is dangerous. I do agree that things happen that you can not expect, but I am a pretty defensive rider and have been riding for some time, and always wear protective gear.

I have been spending about $300 a month on gas a month, Bike payments are less than half that amount a month, and the bike gets 6 times the MPG that the truck gets. It will pay for itself after the first year just in gas.

6x mpg. can't beat that. I had a motorcycle as my only vehicle when I was single. Damn speeding tickets totally erased all savings for me.
