Default Ram Customer Assistance Center

Twlight zone phone call. Ok, so at the present time I am not any place close to my Dakota. A few weeks back I email Dodge customer assistance.
They cannot help with my water infiltration issue on my 2008, drivers side. They escalate the issue to tech support. Two days ago I get an email from the Ram Customer Assistance Center saying they cannot reach me via phone number.

They give me a number to call, person to call, and case number. I think great, finally closer. Takes two days of calls finally get through to a supervisor who pulls up my case. She says, whats going on. I tell her, I own the 2008 Dakota and have water infiltration on the drivers side and I would like to know if other 2008 dak owners have brought up this issue and if so, has Dodge determined an repair course of action?

She then says, do you have the truck near you, suggesting I take to a dealer. I tell her, no, not near the truck. She then says, "Well, what do you hope to accomplish buy calling here?"
I say I just wanted to know if other owners have the same issue.

Complete waste of 30 mins of my life. Guess I will have to wait to take the truck to the stealership to see if they can figure it out. Freaking crazy call.

Top notch customer service right there. I once got fired from a call center for saying something similar.

Is your truck under warranty? I have a similar issue where I find water on top of my passenger mat after heavy raining.

My solution.... I'm taking the truck to a safelite so they can re-seal around the windshield...hopefully that does the trick.

Also, there are two side moldings that sit on both sides of the windshield that are completely dried up and cracked on my truck. Probably the cause of extra wind noise in the cab.. I want to replace it as well but...about $50.00 bucks each..below is what they look like:

BTW does anyone know where I could get those cheaper?

I somewhat understand there can be frustrations being a customer service rep, cannot be the easiest job, complaints being fired from all directions but to say what she said, blew my mind.
@Mitsu, I guess I could try the windshield seal. Just wondering if they would remove the entire windshield and reinstall, that would make me happy, could be a bad seal. Truck not under warranty. Thanks for the info.

I have heard that the third brake light can leak and cause puddling in the cab too. That was on 2nd gens though.
