Default Factory cruise control

Maybe its a stupid question but I was wondering if anyone knows how I could have factory cruise control installed on my truck. Perhaps its not going to be very cost effective but I drive an 06 3.7L Dakota ST. I got a pretty good deal on it as a leftover, but boy its plain jane it doesn't even have tilt. I kinda like not having options in a way because it gives me more room to customize and more things to look around at. Hit me up if anyone has any ideas.

You'd have to get a new steering wheel, that's for sure...since all the controls are there.

Wonder if an aftermarket cruise kit would be a better alternative? I think they exist, anyway...

I know JC Whitney sells an aftermarket cruise, I wonder though how difficult or expensive it would be to get a steering wheel and all of the components I need installed.

You might be able to find a factory steering weel with the cruise controls on it... but, you'd probably have to hit up alot of junk yards.

Well, heck, if you're gonna hit up a junk yard for the steering wheel, you might as well salvage the whole cruise system, too...

Sounds like the aftermarket one is a pretty hard install...I'd imagine the factory system would be too.

I was looking at an ST 4x4 when I finally found my SLT 4x2... at the time, the dealer said there was a Mopar kit available for those trucks. It ran something like $250 but was a factor looking kit. It wouldn't get you tilt, but cruise only.

I've heard a lot of those aftermarket kits are really lame, and have trouble keeping your speed.

Thanks I'll ask the dealer and see what they say. $250 sounds a little steep, I wonder if thats with steering wheel mounted radio controls.
