Eh that always happens around here...especially during the winter when their profits are lower...and needless to say peoples gas tanks freeze.

The only way to get good gas mileage is don't drive with a lead foot. Drive the speed limit. I know its hard especially with all the mods that most of us have. All the mods in the world that tout good mpg are worthless if you drive like mario andretti. I average about 13.5 miles per gallon with the 4.7L V8. Which is better than my 2000 Silverado got. Last week I got 15.4 miles per gallon and I have found that my truck runs good with wawa gas. My driving is all city stop and go driving so to me those numbers are pretty good. I admit sometimes I do step on it mostly to show these young kids with their hondas with the weedwacker sounding exhaust what a real engine sounds like.

So.... with all of the protests in the country over trivial things, why isn't anyone protesting the gas companies? I think that any politician should be making mention about the rise of gas prices and how they're going to fix it.

They probably get too much money from the oil companies to ever go against them. Then again I have little faith in our government nowadays and I hate politicians so I'm more than a little skeptical of them doing something helpful.

Too much money by MANY top politicians invested in the oil business for anything to happen even with protests.

Only during the couple months before election day do you see a massive drop in the price of gas, then the months to follow the price climbs right back up to record highs - yet the politicians always have something to blame it on.
