If its a problem with losing backpressure then whats the point of an aftermarket exaust that redueces backpressure?

Ive never run anto any problems with just reducing backpressure on any of my vehicles turbo or n/a

Have you ever heard a car without mufflers. It's ungodly loud, you will have cops all over you, they will hear you from blocks away, no joke. Driving down the freeway the only thing you will hear is exhaust, I bet you couldn't even hear you radio over it. I really don't think you know what your in for.

Dude, i still have no muffler on mine. I do have one resonator. Factory exhaust, minus one resonator, muffler, and about 4' of pipe. It's almost the perfect volume and sound quality. you'll find that there are certain rev ranges that are too loud or too droning. I think it soundssimilar to all the other trucks w/ dual exhausts where I live. Not loud enough to attract cops.

old muscle cars sound sweet with no mufflers/exhuast. but I think your truck will sound like a tractor with no mufflers. you should just buy some electric exhuast cut outs then it will be loud as hell when you want it to be and then have a nice rumble when you wanna be quiet again.

sure your truck will be loud, but will it wound good? I'd take a nice sounding loud truck over a loud as hell truck that sounds like ****.

I've ran straigh pipes before on my truck, for about three weeks, and I just wasn't sure if this would hurt the exhaust valves or anything internal on the engine...

It sounded good... MEAN as all hell... I think I'm just gonna gut the cats and run it that way..

Yes, I know it's illegal.

Oh well.

Check with local laws first about sound. Some towns have limits on how loud your vehicle can be. Don't want to get a ticket. Plus I don't think your truck will pass inspection either.Go buy a gibson dual sport exhaust. Thats what I have and I love it. It has a nice rumble at idle and when you step on it it roars.

Never heart any of our race cars or mud trucks, and no, we dont change out motors like big budget teams do. our 454 has been in 2 cars over the past 6 years and made many passes and drives on the street. never even broke the valve cover gaskets.
