Default Westin Bed Extender Installed...

Hey all,

I know I never post anything but I thought I'd add this for anyone who might be considering it...

I got my Westing Bed Extender ($200 shipped) yesterday and it took about 30 minutes to put it together and install it. Its looks nice, is sturdy and works well.Quite a bit nicer than a cheap generic one a friend of mine got from Ebay so worth the extra $50 to me.

Anyway, if anyone was considering one but didn't know if they'd be any good I'd say def worth the money if a bed extender is what you want.

Just be careful about where you mount the brackets. The template they give you mounts it about 2" too low, so while it functions 100% it bothers me a little that its not sitting COMPLETELY level, but I'm **** retentative. I might relocate the brackets this weekend.

If anyone wants pics, I can take some.

Best to you.

Here's some pics. You can see what I mean about it not sitting completely level. It totally works with no problems, but if you get one check the template to make sure its where you want it.

First two are the quick release latch which I likea LOT. I haven't had another type to compare it to but it pops in and out of the bed in 5 seconds, very nice. Only concern is someone stealing it someday, but I could fix that w/a locking tailgate handle if I really cared I guess.

You said you wanted pics... hope this isn't overkill...

You can barely tell its in there if you're level w/ the bed rails...
