If our 4.7L V8s react like the stock Chevy 350 in the Car Craft article, we should expect someHP and TQ gain even at low RPM. Maybe less than the 5 HP and 11 Ft/Lbs at 2500 RPM since our engines are smaller. I guess I need to decide is it's worth the $$$ for myself.

I think with even a gain like that would be worth it with the new exhaust, TB, and CAI... or even a S/C.

Kinda sounds like a clip from "Good Morning Vietnam!".

...just saw a dyno test of a Chevy Tahoe 5.3L V8 with only headers and a TB spacer(paperweight) added. It gained 28 lb ft of torque. That's impressive and tells me it's worth the $$$. Ceramic coated will also reduce under-hood temp so I think I'll go that way.

If you want to put headers on definitely go for it but don't count on the same results as the chevy. Especially with modern designs different engines react differently. I'd love to see dyno runs of a 4.7 with and without the headers, that would be the best indicator.
