You're right Monkey, I did combine the two. I have had it on for almost 6 months now, and so far so good.

I would love a HEALTHY lift for my 07 4x4 dakota! But the axle bind has me concerned. How would I get rid of that? Is it possible to lower the cross member under the front axle and the front axle? I know a longer drive shaft might be called for, but none the less. Is the axle drop possible?

im going to have to jump in here and say, i could have called the outcome of this thread. no offense adam. But RC is like every other big name company out there. They need a list of people before they decide to build something. Then they say they will build something. Then they finally take apart a Dakota and find out they shouldnt have spoken first when they see all the binding issues that need solving.

When i heard you guys were developing a kit for 100 bucks i HAD to read the rest (normally i wouldnt even read a long post like this.) I thought to myself, holy crap! Theyre going to solve upper control arm bind, cv bind, AND steering bind for 100 bucks! than i read on....lol

So i have a 2" leveling kit now with 265's and no rub. really i could just stack 1/2" worth of washers on top and call it a day lol. Weve been designing a kit for 2wd exclusively but also keeping 4wd in mind. Im not going to tell you the ONLY way to lift these trucks the right way because, lets be honest, once my kit is released, i dont want competition lol.

But weve tested the possibilities from ground zero starting with bigger spacers, and weve worked our way up to where we are at now, and i hate to say it because these guys are all about cheap lol....but this aint gunna be no cheap lift lol. neither will any other good lift out there. RC has alot of catching up to do to figure out the combination needed to lift this beast lol.

And comeone guys!!!! quit bashing 2wd....pretty soon they will have better suspension than you guys can get...AND 2wd dominates the desert racing community so HA!!! JK

Oh yea i forgot. our high angle cv axle is done....and expensive! (4) 930 joints and a stick of 300m axle rod....its the only real way guys. sorry but things WILL cost money.

more updates will be on the facebook because i dont want to thread jack more than i already did (sorry) but i just wanted to give you a little hint without telling you everything lol. not bad for a testing video either...but this is the testing video you'll be seeing from us... VVVVVVV

Adam. If Rancho wants to contact me privately about what weve done so far id be glad to give a little more insight.

**EDIT** oh yea and you have to use coilovers in the front. dont let your customers keep blowing out shocks lol

Thats so funny. I contacted my self Rough Country MANY TIMES,for tips trick and feed back about their crappy kit i own and they really dont care about fabricate a lift kit for us... if they would, a kit would already exist for the 2nd gen dakota. But the secont gen only have rancho or fabtech crap available. and tuff country for drop cross member options. TRUCKIN suspension seem tu be bankrupt. if they ever show up with a kit it will be a copy paste to jack my ride...RCX never did anything for long travel and cv binding..and 3 inches of lift is impossible without having major contact with splidles, coils and upper arms.
