Hey 06dak! You said somethinng about a high anlge cv joint axle. Where can I get a set of those? I'm working on raising my 07 dakota but don't want to do so until I get all the proper parts.
Also, I have heard about the binding in all this reading. Does that still accure with just a 2.5 in strut spacer? I don't want to have to replace things if not needed.

those axles have to be custom made. as far as i know. were the only ones that have done it so far? typically there is no binding with a 1.5 to 2" spacer. Not sure where you got a 2.5" spacer but there would probably be cv bind. and steering max out. and there would also be your upper control arm hitting the coils.

keep in mind, just because something doesnt bind at ride height. doesnt mean when you go over a bump or do some minor offroading that it wont bind. when dealing with suspension. you need to make sure everything is good to go at all heights of suspension travel. what we do in the shop is use a mock up slip piece that is the same diameter as the coil and put a jack under the a arm and run it up and down and that tells us when needs to be fixed or made.

and we still would like a 4x4 truck to test fit the axle on but as of now expect a pair of long travel axles to be anywhere from 4-600. roughly. not set in stone. lol

yea, but you want your suspension to be able to drop down and not bind. which is the current problem among the 4x crowd

I'm all for spending the money on a diff drop if it's gonna take that to keep the cv from binding. I would say 3" front and 2" rear or else your gonna look sagged in the rear
