I apoligize if i made it sound like a rip on the dak's or any other ifs, the holdback for us though is that, if you were to buy a kit any kit, for an ifs truck, and trust me we are running into this all the time, is that people think they're truck is more capable then it is, and actually break they're cv's, then they call us saying its our fault, and we take an earfull, we will make a dependable kit, wheather its 3 inch 2 1/2 inch or 5 inch, this is still in devolpment, but i'll get done what i can

I say a 3 inch kit is all you need for this truck. If you want to do serious off roading unless the kit comes with a whole new front suspension and axles forget about it. Manufacturers don't build 4x4 trucks for serious off roading exept maybe the dodge power wagon. I think whatever rough country can come up with will be just fine for some off roading. I am sick of pulling up next to a toyota tacoma and having to look up at it.

I personally would like to see a lift similar to 2nd generation dakota's. If RC's kit could cost under $300 bucks for 3" of lift all the way around I'd buy. The kit for the Yota you posted earlier was like 500 bucks. I wouldn't waste 500 for only 3" it'd be cheaper just to level out the front trailmaster kit and put your own Advance Auto 2" blocks in .

Which in any case I wouldn't be happy without 35" tires so I'll probably ditch IFS and use some Ram solid axles front and rear.

Besides rambling, if RC can introduce a kit at a reasonable price I'd buy it anyway...to hold me over

Isn't the point here to have 3" of suspension lift instead of a body lift? All a body lift is gonna do is make the truck 'look' taller. I'd rather have a suspension lift for the functionality it provides over a body lift...I wouldn't go over about 3" anyway (wife, kids, etc...)

Dak_in_black, he is talking about a suspension lift. The TM leveling kit, for a 1.5" lift, and leaf spring blocks for the rear. You can get 2" suspension lift right now. Its just on the lower end of a lift, just hoisting up the stock suspension. A 3" lift from rough coutnry is going to use blocks in the rear, or add a leafs....Id rather have the blocks personally.

Yep, no sense in add-a-leafs. They just add-a-stiffness. Seriously though they make your ride quality go down compared to OEM spring stiffness. Most dislike 3" blocks for such small gain that's why lift companies use combo's like a 2" block lift and 1" add-a-leaf. That was just an example not actual lift. I agree with MW4000 with a block you're atleast guaranteed 3" in the rear. Springs can be approximate and can be affected by weight or model differences like quad cab, single cab, etc.

Besides Dak in Black my jeep sits way taller than any lift these lift companies will ever manufacture for most vehicles and my wife gets in just fine. And it offers healthy jumping excercises and ensures proper stretching before your workout.

I think I see what studlyblueiz is trying say now, that with stuff alreayd available you can already come close to a 3 inch lift....
