Default **RUMMOR**

I was told by the owner of a Dodge/Jeep dealership that Dodge was going to stop building the Dakota after 2008. Does anyone have any info on this? Are they replacing it with another mid-sized truck?

Idk, I can't see them making a new front end, and new engine for it, and then stop.

Kinda be a complete waste of investment, if you ask me.

I heard that the 09 will be last Dak but another mid size will be introduced based on one of the proto types like the Rampage.

what proof do you have, and what proof do you other guys have. please provide links ect. but really, everything is hearsay ect until dodge gives an official statement, but i would like to see where you guys are getting your info

I'm not making a rumor, I'm just stating it'd be totally retarded to build up a newly designed truck, and put a new motor in it, then get rid of it.

well, joe that is an opinion, and a very logical opinion in which i agree with you 100%. rmudbugs, info can be misconstrued between dealerships and company headquarters, but on the other hand, i loved knowing about caravelles new 267ls bow rider a year before the public knew anything

yeah...i'd agree with Joe, that'd be completely stupid and a waste. Although if they replaced it with a new midsized truck, wouldn't it just yeah be the Dakota with a different look and name!? Maybe if they do get rid of the Dakota, come out with a completely new midsized truck, they'll think it through and make it 10x better, new mechanical stuff, better suspension, off road capability, you never know.
