The ***** are part of the radio, you can put just about any single DIN radio in there you want with an adapter. Check out crutchfield.com, you can put your truck in and they'll show you what fits. Can probably buy cheaper from someone else though unless they've come down in price since I last checked.

ORIGINAL: ericemery

what are you looking to do as far as audio goes?

These questions might help us better answer this topic for you.

1. Do I want (have) to keep my factory radio?
2. Do I want to run a seperate amplifier for my speakers?
3. Do I want Loud, or clean/accurate, or both?
4. Subwoofer?

Those 4 will give us a basic Idea of what you are looking for. something to keep inmind... Your truck may or may not have came with a factory sirius tuner and year of service. If so, you will lose that if you go with an aftermarket head unit. (I havent found an adapter that will work with the dodge tuner yet)
1. No I want a new radio tuner in there
2. No keep the same speakers
3. Both
4. No

I know I dont have the sirius satelite radio, but like Altair said, since the ***** are part of the reciever..wouldnt there be a void once u take it out and replace it?? Or is that what you guys are talking about with the adapter, but you couldnt find one so far?

No the adapter ericemery was speaking of is different than what I was referring to. You can get a plastic plate that fits in the gap left by your factory stereo and provides the proper sized hole for your new one. Also in regards to #2 and 3, hate to say it but you really can't get Loud or Clean/Accurate with the factory speakers... at the very least you will want to replace them with others, amplifier is preferred for better quality but you can get decent sound out of just the head unit with the right speakers.

It would fit, I personally don't recommend Kenwood. Had one of their high end excelon head units in my last car and I was not at all impressed.
