Good Tip!
My wife posted a great tip on email, and it is so great, I want to share it with you.
Keep your RKE fob on you at all times. If you fall or feel you are have a cardiac, hit the panic button, and your car's alarm will bring help. At night, have your keys on the night stand by your side. If there is a fire, or someone gets sick or injured in the night, you have instant acces to them and don't have to go looking. If you hear suspicious sounds, just press the panic button and your alarm will scare off any prowlers or possible burglers. I feel like a complete dweeb because I hadn't thought about this on my own.

Damn it why'd I buy an ST without power locks or windows, now if someone comes to rob my house I'll just have to use my phone or something. LoL not a bad idea though.
Shibby, don't despair. Checker Auto, or Kragen in some parts of the country, has an aftermarket alarm system I would buy if our Dak didn't have the system it has already. For $59.95, you get a talking Alarm system that has seven messages and a siren that cycles through six siren sounds. It features one wire hook-up and is so easy to install, even I could do it. You might check it out. Good luck.

that would not be a good alarm if you are looking to protect your vehicle though...
A good alarm will have shock sensors, glass sensors and proximity sensors... and a battery backup for when they cut your 1 wire install...
but for the stuff in the O.P. it would work great.
