well people i just got home from the dyno. all i can say is it was a waste of time. we loaded tuner into truck. got as far as reading stock file, then the tuner said. update required. went to superchips. uploaded the required program than this came up

WERE SORRY CALIBRATION IS NOT SUPPORTED AT THIS TIME (WTF IS THIS)

called superchips and they said during programing they missed a file somewhere. going to be 1 day for new file or 2 weeks they dont know yet. so basically i told the guy tuner is useless and he agreed. so i did my part. gonna have to wait for new files to show up or i can return the paper for now. at least my jet chip worked right out of the box.

 

Dang, that sucks man.. They should compensate you for your trouble. Did you run the dyno anyway? Courious what hp your truck is pushing.

 

because of my upgrades i was at 250 at the wheels. there is a post somewhere with my dyno shts. running the zero timing nitrous i was at 296 at the wheels. ever since they changed this forum i still cant upload pics. but the factory dyno run right from the dealeship was 190 at the wheels. non h.o motor

what superchips is doing is selling tuners with no updates. when you program the truck and says updates required. you go on the website download the program. the program stores the vin and codes and sends the info to superchips. then they do the calibration, then they email it to you for downloading. it just sucks and is wrong.

everyone with the 05 and up 4.7 people are getting screwed. i was on superchips web site. ram owners and durango owners are stating the same problems with thier tuners as i am. just a bunch of bull

 

Heck with it, I'm going with SCT.

 

what really sucks is the wasted time the dyno guy had. not to mention i had to pay for my time there. now when i get my updates and do this again i will have too pay again

 

damn super ..thats a bunch of crap i guess a couple of us are going to take that one right off of the xmas list and not even mess with it. But i would give them a call and you know just say ..WTF i trusted yall to sell me something good and it turns out that yall dont have your ducks in a row...

 

That sucks man, thanks for giving everyone the heads up though. Looks like I'll be waiting on someone else to pull through for us, maybe Hypertech.
