Out of Alignment or Road Crown?
I'm trying to figure out whether my truck needs alignment. At speeds 40MPH+, it noticably pulls to the right. Constant left input (but only a few degrees) is required on the steering wheel, or it will drift out of the lane in about 3 seconds. However, if I drive on the left side of the road, it seems to start pulling to the left.
Does anyone else's truck follow the crown of the road like this? Or am I fooling myself and really need to visit the alignment shop? It's annoying, and I don't want to put my SR-A's to an early death due to uneven wear. As crappy as they may be, they're wearing well so far and should go 50K+ miles.

Mine pulls a little bit with the crown of the road but I don't really notice it. I guess it depends how hard it's pulling which is hard to gauge without actually driving it. Don't some shops check alignment for free and you only pay if you actually get the alignment done?
Also from someone who had those SR-A's the sooner you put them to death the happier you will be with the way your Dak drives

I think you are losing it...
High crowns in the road can cause the same reaction, and if its true normal crown it shouldnt be very noticeable. How hgh would ya say the crown is?
I would start by checking the pressure in your tires, I know the other day mine was pulling a bit to the left on the left side, I couldnt try the right side in town, people would have flipped, haha
, then maybe find a parking lot and test her out after checking the pressure
My SR-As arent doing to bad on wear either, when the time comes though, Ill be looking at something a tad stickier I think

A tire pressure check is a good idea; they were all holding 35 LBS last time I checked, but it's worth checking again.
As for the SR-A's, they officially suck hard in the snow...even with 400LBS of sand in the bed. A set of National Commando AT 265/70/16's are going on Monday for some winter bite. They're a private label built by Cooper, and the local shop sold me on them versus General Grabber AT2's. I'm looking forward to seeing them fill out the wheel wells.
