I understand your grief over posting irrelevant posts but this is related, as you can see someone already posted an experience they've had with their headers.
He was just trying to help with that statement. In general you're much more likely to get help and get it faster by starting a thread unless your issue is the same one the thread is about.

Nightrunner, next time you might want to use an example that will defend your statement. As for my question was answered within the same day. The thread was about exhaust help, headers have to do with exhaust and people who are reading this thread have some knowledge about exhausts in general- that was the audience I was trying to receive help from.

People who are reading this thread have some interest in installing headers, have installed headers or decided not to install headers (in relation to headers). If they are doing any of these things they have also considered which type of gasket to use. Other people who are reading these threads might be professionals who know about exhaust systems in general and can answer a simple question such as which type of gasket to use.

I put my post in this thread for the reason above. I did not see a need to start a new seperate thread. Had I not received a response so promptly, I might have started a seperate thread. Again, had an example been used that was related to the statement made, I would have not responded.

Using an example that is not related to a statement is ineffective.

At one point was I offended? I am just explaining my decision to post my question in this thread.

All in all, I understand you are just trying to help so thanks for taking your time and trying to help me find an answer to my question.

Anyone have any experience with different kits? Let me know and links to web sites would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
that is the original post. it states NOTHING about headers. some people have already posted in here, and my not return to this thread. if you posted a new thread, with your question and a proper title, you would have probably gotten more responses. i understand your argument, but you also did a thread-jack. /rant i dont need to explain further and /jack this is going to keep going, so im done

You are right, this can go on and on. I posted my question on this thread for reasons posted earlier. THE FACT THAT MY QUESTION CAN BE ANSWERED THROUGH ANOTHER THREAD IS IRRELEVANT. Keep in mind that

MY QUESTION HAS BEEN ANSWERED DUE TO THE AUDIENCE

that reads the thread under,

"EXHAUST HELP"

- which proves my point; I used caps to emphasize my main points, I hope it helps. If anything you have probably discouraged people to respond to this thread. Had I posted a question about which headlights I should buy or what kind of performance chip, I could see your point being relevant.

Although I have already ordered gaskets for my headers, I have made a seperate thread for gaskets incase someone else is having this issue. This strategy is not the only strategy to answer this question but is a valid one, as is the strategy I used. Get off your high horse, your way is not the only correct way.

Here's a question for you, are you a mechanic-target audience? What attracted you to read the posts under this thread. Do you have an exhaust system installed?-target audience, do you have headers installed?-target audience. I was interested because this was a current/active thread that people were responding to and related to exhaust systems-prompt response. Instead of trying to find a flaw in every little thing, why not give some input, I'm sure you have some.

I don't really care how long this thread continues, if you continue to question my decision to post under this thread, I will continue to clarify them for you, "Jack."

idk, but make a new thread.....no one is going to come in here looking for your question. if anyone sees it it will be random chance.
When someone says, "no offense" they are usually saying something that is offensive. Telling someone they are an idiot followed by "no offense" does not mean it's non offensive, just an example. Doing this does not exonerate you.

I did not take offense to it, but I felt a need to explain myself, especially since you tied me into another thread that did seem offensive, which was completely unrelated to me, for reasons mentioned earlier. (You, along with some others trying to tell another member that he is doing something wrong once again) You are obviously in here trying to help another fellow member with exhaust issues; that was my target audience (people who have some knowledge with exhaust systems.) Unless you are some weirdo just trying to find flaws in everyones discussions.

I may have not understood. From my undestanding, you were telling someone to go back and read the previous post. Supposedly, he was not reading the suggestions you were giving him and asking the same questions over and over again, that was my understanding.

What were you trying to prove by generalizing two completely different posts? What does

"see what i mean from previous post (no offense to you in particular man)"

mean? It seems that you were trying to prove that I had not read the previous posts, had I read them I would have seen that this discussion has nothing to do with headers. Which again, is irrelevant because my decision to post on this thread was solely based on the fact that it was exhaust help related- exhaust systems; and the audience that it was attracting. I actually entered this post thinking I might find some information related to my headers, when I did not I decided to create a post. Unless you can prove that headers have nothing to do with exhaust systems, the audience that reads/contributes to this thread can answer my question.

Instead of jumping the gun, maybe you should try to make some sense out of things or just answer questions instead of telling people how to ask them or, even more simple, don't say anything. Maybe now you can go back with a "level head" and make some sense out of things.

Well I will attempt to get back on subject.
So what did you guys end up with? Any pics or sound clips?
I also have the FM Delta 40 series and my truck sounds great, like we have all said I think it is just personal preference.
