My father has a friend that has a milling machine. I have the old set of leveling discs, the aluminum ones that we supposed to first go on top of the tower, then into. I know they have a new type that goes on top of the tower. My question is, the discs are only about 1.5 inches tall, how much should I remove? Thanks

If you take a look at your suspension setup, the bottom of the shock lies about half way in between the wheel hub and fulcrum point (the point where the control arm pivots). When you increase height 7/8" at the middle of the arm, the distance at the end of the arm (where your wheel is) is increased at a multiplication factor. The same concept applies to: if you were holding a baseball bat parallel to the ground and move your hands 3" to the right. How far does the end of the bat travel? The answer is based on the length of the bat, but you get the picture.
I'm not very good with math, so what would you say would be a good amount to remove to get about 1.5 inches of lift so that I don't have any binding issues with the 4x4 like the new kit does?

If you do the math, you should be able to remove .219" at the spacer. This would take away about .500" lift. However, there are other considerations with the suspension setup that may not get you to exactly 1/2". Personally, the TM techs mentioned that the 2" spacers caused ball joint failure, not CV bind. When I installed my leveling kit, it was designated as a 1.5" leveling kit. I did not measure the spacer to verify, but I did see the front end pop up about 1.5". I have a 4x4 with no cv issues.
Do you go offroading or anything. I'm not talking launching it or anything, but I live on the beach and may do a little trail riding, nothing extreme.

My system locates between the strut mount (on the chassis) and the assembly, NOT in between the spring and inside/top of the strut assembly.
