Default Custom Box

I put the 10" JL Wv1 and it sounds sick. Since the seat can't really lift up with the sub behind it I just put the amp under the seat and then the space under there was used. I dont remember the dimensions i used on the box but i just measured it and sent it to a custom shop. It sounds better than i thought it would.

Lol well I would never buy jl or mtx. both are way overpriced, under designed, and over rated. I have installed for a few years. and I currently own 2 w7 13.5's as well as 2 1000/1 amps. I've owned 2 9515's from mtx. They were ok. They were loud but sq wasn't there. The better of the 2 are the w7 line. everything else they make is sub par. and for the price of jl its not worth it. there are at least 4 companies that make far superior products compared to jl and mtx.

I reccomend if you are going with another company or getting a different sub RE Audio. They make regular subs that will fit back there as well as shallow mount subs. The speakers they make are designed around a sound quality background. I myself am running 1 RE Audio XXX 15d2. the sub is taller than a 2 ltr bottle of coke. and weighs a little over 95 pounds alone. The jl stuff is my fiance's. She wanted best name brand product on the market.

If you are still looking for another amp to run tho, I do happen to have a jl 250/1 amp. 250 rms 500 peak. and its tiny. about a cubic foot lol. maybe less. small but powerful. Car audio is my thing and I myself am apart of a discount members only audio site. I can usually get pretty good deals shipped to you on different car audio equipment.

I'll have to post up a few pics of the audio system in my truck and a few videos. its a very loud system. I only have the ext cab and the jumper seats have been removed and the box takes up the back half of my truck. But thats my passion so... If you want some better companies that will out perform that jl in that same box with the same or less power with better sound quality just shoot me a pm and i'll throw you a few names and links.

Sorry, I dont like the resonance of abs...
Or do like I did. Buy a used MTX box for pennies. Sell the speaker in it. Buy a "real" speaker that fits. Then just use poly fill and bed liner.

What resonance?
