has anybody put in a overhead console with trip computer in a 06 that wasnt factory installed

 

not that i know of but i am wanting to do the same thing. I heard that all the trucks are wired for it but you have to chase the wire down at the right side window piller.

 

I would be interested to see if this is true. Are you talking about the A pillar or B pillar?

 

Now, the real question is: if you purchase the over head consol...do you have to have a star scan to activate?

 

my bet is that yes you have to use the starscan crap to use is but from what I have learned from expercience, the dodge lineup is good about having the complete wiring harness in everything. If it is true they are smart cause with 1 harness for the truck it would be cheaper than having multi harness. And not sure which piller. It is the piller where the passengers o-s**t handle is. I was told that you would have to buy the console and the wire that runs from behind the piller to the console.

 

Anyone have a price for the console ?
