The sensors is part of the CAN buss (control area network) computer network. The problem is disconnecting anything won't stop the CAB-B from its status. There may be a trick to make the sensors think the tire pressure and tires are stock and at the correct pressure by installing a resistor inline the sensor circuits. Being I don’t have this function on my 07 I can't experiment and get you an answerer on the resistor values.

I think those sensors are pretty expensive, I could be wrong. I'd just have them installed in the new rims/tires. I personally like to have every option on my vehicles working and it would just aggravate me knowing those didn't work even if the light and chime were disabled.

TRX4_2008, do you think the tires would rub if you had a body lift kit on it? I have an '08 I want to lift and put larger tires on but if there's going to be rubbing even with a body kit then I may not do anything.

Definitely no rubbing with a body lift, and although the noise was HORRIBLE with the rubbing on mine, it took such a minimal cut to resolve. If it took me 20 seconds on each side that was a lot. The cut is totally not visible, and hard to explain, but was actually UNDER the front of the wheel well. I can't possibly get a camera in there to explain it, but I'll try and take a pic of the pieces I cut off and show a location.

When I heard the RUB, I freaked, and of course thought it to be worse then it was. Once I got my daughter to sit in the driver seat and turn the wheels, I saw just how minimal it was and easy to resolve. No joke.... less than one minute... a small one inch cut with a sawzall, and no possible way to know it was ever done.

I'll try to post a pic in a while.

Here are the pieces cut off, and where they were cut from. The white stick represents the size & shape of the removed material.

Seems like there are more TRX4's showing up as time goes by, which is good Nice color, different. The gray areas on the front and the flares contrast well with it I think.

Put those tires on the stock rims. TPMS solved.

Great tire choice! I've not purchased a set of tires for a truck I've owned in over a dozen years now that didn't either say Mickey Thompson or Dick Cepek on the sides...
