Checkd Ebay.... no luck, or a crap shoot at best, and at least $100 + shipping. Called Tire Rack, and they have them for $125.00 shipped. Now I have to pay to have the tires yanked, install sensors, and re-balance....OR.....break down both sets of tires to steal the factory sensors. Geeez, it never ends

Don't worry about it, its not a huge deal. When you get some time run over to a tire shop and have them take the factory ones out of the stock wheels, and install them into the aftermarket ones. I think the new wheels look great.

When I got my tires (stole them off a company truck we were selling, they were still new) we brought both trucks down to a local tire shop, they charged us $100 to take the wheels off both trucks, remove all the tires, and mount/balance/reinstall them on the opposite truck. I'd imagine it will be cheaper to have a shop grab the factory ones off the old wheels than pay $125 for them and still have to have them installed. Of course this is assuming there isn't anything preventing the factory ones from being used on the new wheels.

Nice looking truck, TRX4. I didn't think sunburst orange would look that good.
I'm hooked on my Town & Country's TP sensors. The best bet is to transfer them from your old wheels. They replace the valve stems. New ones are expensive and have to be programmed by the dealer for your vehicles receiver.

Thanks EDSHAM. Didn't realize they needed to be re-programmed. I think I will just break down both sets and do it right.

TRX 2008, one question I have about installing the leveling on your truck kit is, how's the ride now? I have a leveling kit from my 05 but never put it on my 08 because the place I bought it from suggested not to install it on a TRX. He thinks it will make the ride too rough with the stiffer than stock spring/shock combo on the TRX. I'd love to get this thing in the air a few more inches but don't feel like going through the pita of installing it just to find I have to take it right back off.

Can't tell you too much about ride yet. Only put 20 miles or so on it, because I keep full coverage on only one truck. Next month I'll switch from the Jeep to the Dakata, but I could feel the difference immediately. In my opinion the front suspension was mushy. This firmed it up (not too harsh at all) and I was thinking to myself... DAMN, now IT FEELS LIKE A TRUCK. It's in the garage and everytime I go thru I'm amazed at the height difference. It's looks like a "real" truck now...IMO.

"Ride too rough"? We're talking about a 3rd gen Dakota right? That's funny. Do you think the stiffer ride is due to increased stress on the sway bar? Not that it's a bad thing. We'll see how the end-links hold up.

Thanks TRX. Keep me updated on how it is when you get some ride time in it if you don't mind.

That's what I was thinking, mprohr. Trust me though, the TRX has a noticeably stiffer front end than a standard GenIII Dak.

As far as the sway bar mounting, I haven't crawled under mine to investigate, but if that is the case that it puts more stress on it, then maybe there's a way to drop the mounting location down with a shim or block or something. I dunno, maybe this will turn into a summer project for me;

Our end-links are junk anyway, soon as I find some decent aftermarket ones that fit I'll be switching them. There's no such thing as ride too rough on our trucks
