Rust.
Unless it's a rust thru, they won't cover it. I happen to agree also. I have chips and dings. Say someone parks close to you and opens their door and chips your paint, or you park under a tree and sap drips on the paint causing damage. No way the dealership should be considered responsible.
There's no way the dealer should be responsible for like you said, normal wear and tear...
It's a truck, it happens... My truck stays in the garage most the time, and when I DO drive it, I'm extremely careful...
I had a few small dings and rock chips in my truck, and suuuuuuure, I was PISSED, but I didn't go cry to the dealer telling them, that the factory paint is siht, and request they fix it at their cost... it's part of the game... if it gets chipped... oh well, just pay to get it fixed...
Cuz seriously, sweetheart, you bring it into the dealer and ask them to fix it at THEIR cost, they will make you look like a fool...
My bigger issue is that the damn thing rusts so fast. If it's got a small chip, it will rust under the paint to twice as large in no time. I have not had this happen with a vehicle since my 1980 Delta88. Most other new cars seem prepped to fight rust much better. More "planned obsolescence" from Dodge.
